Just hoping this shot in the dark gets rewarded. Unfortunately, the stabbing weapons and bows dont line up properly, so youd have to edit them if you want to use them. So, I made a new sprite base using MVs human battler pallete, these sprites are 3 heads tall rather than 2. I hope you can make some of those sideview battlers into frontview. I'm really eyeballing the Character Game Hub on Steam and feels like that is what I should look at, but you never know so asking here.Īt the end of the day we can always touch up or send off to a pixel artist. I like chibi sprites as much as the next guy, but 2 heads tall feels a little extreme. The tall ones could possibly be leaders, half-goblins, or just plain goblins who are taller/smarter/whatever. I was wondering in your experience which one(s) work with default MV assets AND look the best. I looked at what appears to be a few tall sprite generators I've come across. THIS, I am hoping can and is already converted to a tall sprite generator and looks polished and not using the simply drag and drop stretch method. Minus some tweaks, each character comes equipped with stock armor/clothing. So question, I'm sure all of what I am looking to do can be done, I'm just hoping someone familiar with putting large sprites into the battle mechanic can help point me to the right direction and I can go from there.įirst of all, our sprite characters where ALL built in game. We already attempt that with custom backgrounds and GUI/HUD work, but I want something more and tall sprites seems to be the best solution. It doesn't mean we can't tweak the old style method a little to bring about a little immersion and slightly less RPGM feely. Also note that its not possible to combine the 3 head tall SV battlers with the 2 head tall ones because of the positioning of the weapon graphics.-The README says nothing about credit and/or commercial usage. Note: Still pretty new at this so if I did something wrong or credited incorrectly, or missed a credit to someone please just let me know so I can fix it.My partner and I very recently decided to go the side-view route ( thank God).Įven though we don't intend or want to get too carried away with it and instead are striving for the classic style * take two steps forward, swing your sword a couple of times, retreat back* method - rpgsprites.js Please make sure to save a backup of your original files. Enjoy!Ĭredit: Characters were created using the base MV characters and clothing that comes from the Kadokawa RPG Maker MV character packs. Some of the sprites are based off of their comic book attire, and some are based off of their movie counter-parts (There really is no rhyme or reason to it it's just whatever version I felt like creating). I think most of the motions could be drawn as upper-body sprites, no need for cropping. I have been reading Marvel Comics since I was very young and it is my pleasure to present my version of many of their characters, including: The Avengers, Spider-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, The X-Men, Fantastic Four, the Netflix Defenders, and many, many, many other characters. RMMV doesnt have any problems with (or safeguards against) positioning sprite anchors outside of the viewport, and the sprites in the linked video look like theyre anchored to the top of the status window anyway, which is within visible bounds.
